Description:

Preparing a Video Interview benefits students who are nearing their program completion and beginning a job search. The Video Interview helps students introduce themselves to prospective employers, talk about their ePortfolio and begin to feel comfortable answering traditional interview questions, like “Tell me about yourself” and "How did you resolve a difficult situation at work or school?"

Value of the Badge:

Earning the Video Interview badge indicates a student has completed a multimedia digital project consisting of project preparation, reflection, writing, practice, video recording and still images promoting oneself. The multimedia digital package is available for sharing online as desired by the individual for job or graduate school interviews, as a pre-interview introduction or any place an in-person introduction is not possible.

Badge Criteria:

1. Successfully complete the ePortfolio Video Interview assignment including creation and upload of a practice video and photo, three additional videos showing evidence of preparation, practice and professionalism and answering questions related to telling a recruiter about yourself, your accomplishments and your abilities and a final, polished interview video including all three questions in one complete package in Ohio State University's HCS5601, Managing a Virtual Portfolio.
