Description:

Students develop an understanding of the basic concepts of statistics and probability, methods needed to analyze and critically evaluate statistical arguments, recognize the importance of statistical ideas and develop quantitative literacy and logical reasoning skills.

Value of the Badge:

Earning the Hypothesis Testing badge indicates a student has a comprehensive knowledge of statistics, data, and statistical thinking, including methods of describing data, probability, sampling distributions and the testing of hypothesis.

Badge Criteria:

  1. Successfully complete the Hypothesis Testing (HW#7) with emphasis on describing the data, statement of hypothesis, testing the hypothesis and categorical data analysis in Ohio State University's HCS2260, Data Analysis and Interpretation for Decision Making.
